SHARE A NEW VISION TORINO 2008 WORLD DESIGN CAPITAL Have you ever wondered what banks will be like in the future? What solutions could be adopted to redesign branch interiors, counters, reception and queuing areas? What new areas can be created to make time spent in a bank more comfortable, relaxing, creating the feeling of 'doing something' for oneself? The international contest "SHARE A NEW VISION: redesign the bank branch of the future" has been organised to give young designers and architects a chance to use their creativity and skills to respond to these needs. The challenge is to design a space in which customers can obtain information while reducing the sensation of time passing and leaving them completely in control of transactions performed, thanks to visual itineraries, interactive zones, self-service technologies and entertainment areas. We invite design students and individuals to create a broad range of design concepts and innovations for technology products that demonstrate refreshed approaches and responsible solutions for green computing technologies.

Our goal is to facilitate an open exchange among all peoples of the Earth and contribute to the body of knowledge that advances the practice of environmentally responsible product design for current and future computing technology products.

ReGeneration

What does it mean to be a truly green product when thinking about computing technology? Considering the global scale of computing, this is a big question, the answer to which can make a big difference in improving the Earth’s environment that we all share.

Interieur 08 - Rules (NL) Interieur 08 - Rules (FR) Interieur 08 - Poster The Interieur Foundation organises its nineteenth consecutive prototype competition: the INTERIEUR 08 Design Competition, formerly known as ‘Design for Europe’. Centred on three thematic subjects, it focuses on new, functional, creative and contemporary prototypes. An international jury will include, amongst others, designers Louise Campbell (DK) and Adam Goodrum (AU), Philips Senior Creative Director Oscar Peña (CO/NL) and captains of industry and CEOs Marnick Smessaert (BE) and Alasdhair Willis (UK). They will examine the entries and decide on the deserving winners. Eleven prominent companies are sponsoring prizes to a total value of 35,000 euro.
